Normally when I pick up something like this for myself, I make sure that I get writing about it as soon as possible to make sure word is out there on how blooming gorgeous it is. Then hopefully you’ll be in good time to pick one up yourself if you like the look of it.
The thing is with the annual Liberty London Advent Calendar, it was sold out before it got to me! THAT’S how magical it is!
“I was determined not to follow existing fashion but to create new ones.”
Liberty London is one of the capitals most iconic department stores, which has transitioned through the ages of fashion and lifestyle with us, immaculately. Many connoisseurs of luxury and tourists alike will flock to Liberty to peruse the latest in designer attire and more, as well as gather to admire the traditional, marvellous architecture of the building itself.
“In 1875, Arthur Lasenby Liberty borrowed £2,000 from his future Father in Law and took over half of 218a Regent Street with three dedicated staff. Devoted to his vision of an Eastern Bazaar and determined to change the look of homeware and fashion, Arthur Liberty’s collection of ornaments, fabric and objets d’art proved irresistible to a society intoxicated by Japan and the East.”
So let’s get to the Advent Calendar, shall we?
With thousands of brands now bringing forth their own interpretation of spoils during advent, Liberty have been no stranger to working up the hype of the 24 window treat windows, with their own calendar of luxury over the years.
Each year of its appearance it has forever been a sell out, with this year being no exception, and being unavailable to order online after only 4 days.
Lucky for me, I set a morning alarm for launch day, and here I am naughtily wishing away November until I can finally take a peek.
I’m trying not to spoil the surprises for myself, if I’m honest, and attempting not to read the back of the box is a killer! This photo below alone was pure torture, haha!
I love the suspense from day to day of what I might be opening each advent morning, so I won’t be listing it’s full contents here today, just in case you too are like me! If you would prefer to know what’s in it though, I highly recommend heading over HERE to read the list of goodness.
What I can give you though, without revealing too much for myself, is:
Worth over £500, this is the ultimate gift for the beauty obsessed! Housed in a beautiful Liberty London box and featuring 15 full-sized products alongside deluxe samples, each drawer reveals a fantastic beauty treat, with hero skincare, haircare and cult cosmetics from brands, including Votary, Le Labo and Diptyque – Liberty London Beauty Advent Calendar
Diptyque…Bring me that sweet day of Diptyque!
Liberty London Favourites
What’s not to love about the box itself, right? The size is so grand, and stands beautifully without aid, making it quite the under tree feature when the time comes to display it. Inside, I know that each window that waits for me comprises of its own drawer for the secrets within.
The artwork capturing the traditionally glamorous nature of the Liberty London building is instantly recognisable, and enchanting.
Value for money wise, the calendar cost £175, so naturally anyone who manages to bag theirs is really getting good bang for buck – as they say, and what better treat for fans of luxury brands and beauty enthusiasts alike to count their way down to Christmas than this!?
I’ll be sharing my daily discoveries once we hit December 1st across my social media channels, on Twitter, and Instagram, if you’d like to join me and let me know which you love, or which you could leave.
Here are a few more luxury advent calendars for you to enjoy this festive season. Which would be your favourite?!
