We all need moisture in our lives, and there's no point denying it. There's no way that I could risk skipping my moisturising step in my skincare, so why would I scrimp on cramming it into my hair too? After all, it's pretty much the first thing that people see when I come around the corner anyway.
Always excited to try out new hair care products for my floofy head, I was thrilled when '72' approached me to see whether I might enjoy treating myself to a whole load of nourishment for my bounce-about locks. Naturally, I speedily accepted.

There are a handful of targeted collections by 72, tailored made for specific hair types [you can collect them all here], but for me there was definitely a leading interest. The Nourishing Collection.
"The collection for natural or colour-treated hair. Our luxurious Nourishing Shampoo, which is formulated to add strength and moisture, paired with our Hydrating Conditioner to protect hair against sun, pollution and UVA damage. Finish with our Repairing Oil to eliminate frizz and add radiance.
CONTAINS: Nourishing Shampoo 250ml, Hydrating Conditioner 250ml and Repairing Oil 75ml.

"All over the place", would be the answer to this. I had my very first hair cut at 8 weeks old. Naturally my hair colour isn't far off jet black, and the structure is dense, wiry, parched, and "outward". I rely on length to keep it held down (be that a mixture of natural and with the help of the occasional extension plugged in), but with length also comes width. It can honestly be quite a spectacle.
My grandma used to call me "Samson", because she believed that my hair held all of my strength, from it's size and dominance.
So yes, I need a lot of help keeping this head happy, and moisture is always key.
First impressions of the shampoo was the immediate smell of wonderment. What a gorgeous scent!! This is potentially going to sound a bit silly, but it's one of those smells which makes you think something like, "This is actually something which is made to treat me well". Do you get what I mean? Like a "treatment" smell, but a GOOD treatment smell.
Another great thing about the shampoo too, is that in the past I've tried sulphate free shampoos which don't feel like they deep clean enough, you know? I struggle to get them to really get stuck in, and rinse out with a squeak. 100%, this shampoo does exactly that. You get a very nice, gentle lather which disperses thoroughly, without needing to apply by the handful.
The conditioner too melts deep to the scalp, and has an equally lovely scent. I like to leave it in for around 5 minutes to allow it to get to work good and proper.
Happy to say that the conditioner also rinses out with minimal effort, and no sense of residue left after too long.
I dye my hair. It's always been "too dark" for me, so I do apply a home dye every now and again to keep a sightly lighter, chestnut tone.
Naturally, box dyes aren't the kindest things to feed my porous puffiness, but they're convenient, and that's why we often do such things, right?
To help me ensure that what I'm doing with my colouring isn't breaking down and causing strife to my hair, the 72 Repairing Oil really compliments the routine!
"For all hair types. A lightweight, multi-use oil that eliminates frizz, leaving hair smooth, with radiant shine.
The 72 Hair Repairing Oil is expertly formulated to smooth away frizz as it moisturises, with no greasy feel. The lightweight formula may be used on wet or dry hair, where it goes to work locking in moisture and reflecting light for superb shine." [Buy Now]
I always worry about additional products weighing my hair down, or greasing it up prematurely between washes, but this oil isn't one which I've experienced do this actually! I only need one pump, and although you can use it on towel dried hair, I prefer to use it on my dried and straightened hair, as I feel I need to use much less that way, and every strand gets some love. My hair holds shine for longer, and I honestly do feel that I'm experiencing less breakages after just over a week of use.
Thank you to 72 for giving me the opportunity to try out your marvelous Nourishing Collection.
