This is a part ‘Outfit Of The Day’ post, and part gush of love for my new found leather goods which you struggle to peel away from me right now.
I’m a huge fan of black. Black is classic, chic, intriguing, and dynamic. Not only is it beautiful to wear alone, but also highly compliments colour pops too.
In the summer, black accents tend to step forward as oppose to over all “cloaking”, simply because black absorbs the heat and you’re liable to bake, and also doesn’t reflect the hazy sunshine days as well as it does glide through the mists and tones of autumn and winter.
A new love of the month so far has been my jacket by ‘Misha Nonoo’ [SHOP NONOO HERE]. This is from an old line of 100% leather jackets by the designer, however as with any good construction, this thing has 100s of years left in it. I love the scallop detailing all over, with the edgy feel to the crop and shoulders, but still wearable over more feminine ensembles.
The leather itself is butter soft, weighty enough to keep you warm (not a light jacket by any means), and comfortable entirely.
To accompany this look, I’ve enjoyed teaming it with my new Coach wristlet; a limited edition collaboration design with Selena Gomez. [SHOP COACH HERE]
I’m sure a lot of Selena fans were onboard for the bag based on their love for the singer, but my gosh I’m in it wholly for that deep black, and black cherry colour block design, married against the vibrant gold hardware.
It screams sophistication to me, and the black cherry tone which not only runs on the exterior, but all through the inside too, flashes beautifully with the autumn colour palette and it's burnt oranges and metallic yellows.
These key pieces can work with such a magnitude of things in the changing season’s wardrobe, from dark denim on the legs, to “floaty” feminine skirts for a playful contrast.
