It’s been off, it’s been on, it’s been here, and it’s been gone – that gosh darn sunshine simply has no idea what it wants to do!
The final week of April was true to its showery nature, however the showers seemed to last for days instead of moments, and temperatures dropped 10 or more degrees from what we were treated to in the middle of the month. How do you do this to us, British weather?!
I’m thrilled to say that May has entered with some optimism, and I am not wasting a single moment in throwing on my good weather clothes and sharing a few style thoughts with you.
One of my favourite colours, and one which you can’t help but associate freshness and happiness with. It’s the colour of the sun, after all, so I’m jolly well wearing it whenever I can!
Ruffles are also still very much in this season, and although this top I have on here isn’t currently available, I can wholly recommend those shown below which work just as well with a pair of comfy, fresh stonewash jeans, and a fun little slogan bag like my Maison de Nimes “Blue Skies” pouch here.
OH! And don't forget to stay hydrated, right? I'm an absolute push over for novelty travel cups, I can't lie.
I always invest in a good pair of white sling backs every sping/summer too, and these guys with the cute Perspex block heel are not only very comfortable and practical in height, but also stylishly pointed at the toe.
THE BLOG – We’re down to a post a week or so, but it’s all in the name of providing quality content as oppose to churn. I am severely aimed at improving my editorial photography right now, and that takes much more time and attention.
TWITCH (www.twitch.tv/gosallygo) – In addition to the blog of course, there’s my Twitch channel. I was originally going to celebrate hitting 200 followers last week in a blog post, however my stream where I was aiming for the 200 resulted me in welcoming 226 new to the group, so I’m postponing the celebrations until perhaps 250. My gosh it’s going so well though. I love everything about my Twitch community, and the days we spend together. It’s such an actively supportive network, and I feel like creativity and individuality is so highly praised and noted over there – I can’t get enough, and I love that it’s fitting so well into my lifestyle content as it continues on too.
SOCIAL - I'm still wholly invested in my Instagram presence daily in the form of grid posts and chatty stories, as well as interacting with my gorgeous followers and friends. Twitter has felt more "awake" for me the last month too, with some fantastic support over there for my Twitch promotion (Thanks to Twitch Kittens and SGAQNetworking). I'm also posting more regular lifestyle chatter over there too, and continue to use it as a good driver for sharing blog posts too.
Twitter always has, and to some degree still does feel a little like a "crowded room where everyone is talking at once" to me though, but I just need to keep utilizing it more as I go.
