With Father's Day on the horizon, there are ample recommendations out there on how to spoil our beloved Dads on their special day (the lucky beans!).
For me, I celebrate "special guys" a little differently with my Dad being up in the clouds these days, so here I am with my own little candid post on how to spoil you MALE FAVES on Father's Day and beyond!
Also, can we take a moment to appreciate CAT DADS, right? Scroll straight to the end of this post if you feel me.
I HASTEN TO ADD THAT YES, IT IS VERY MATERIALISTIC FOR THE FASHIONABLE FELLOW, AND YES THERE ARE SOCKS.
FROM FASHION TO FACE.
Some of these and many more are available in the "Father's Day Under £50 Gifts" section at my beloved store of pretty much every choice - House of Fraser.
A funny thing I've always found when shopping for a man in his 30s and beyond (in my life of course, this will no doubt be quite different for you - and I'd love to hear your thoughts), but whenever I've wanted to buy something a little more fancy than a multi pack of pants or socks as an ultra treat, is that the gentlemen always have a slight pang of disappointment that they don't actually have such necessities after all!
One Father's day I bought my dear old Dad a gorgeous new shave kit with skincare and his favourite after shave as a really special package, but I kid you not I was back out into town for a 20 pack of sports socks for him the very next day, as I could see him peering longingly into his smalls draw wondering when his annual update might arrive.
He was obviously extremely excited by the new twist I took on his gifts that year, but you could just tell he needed that cotton fix.
Another fun story is about the number of watches I've bought Lloyd in the past. I think one of the very first gifts I wanted to impress him with was a watch, as was I think a third year purchase. I even picked him up a FitBit once too, but he must have slippery wrists because I truly have no idea where they've got to since.
I've been assurd though that he is very much in love with this DW Unisex Classic Black St Mawes number, and is more of a fan of this guy due to the face being so comfortably delicate and not sitting awkwardly proud on his "man wrists". The style is also incredibly versatile to take from day to night with his looks too, which is something the others I picked up for him never quite managed to do. I'm on to a winner!
I PICKED THIS ONE UP FROM BROWN'S FAMILY JEWELLERS COLLECTION HERE.
He's also always very happy to receive his favourite scent, which is continually proven to be Acqua Di Parma's Chinotto Di Liguria. I picked this up for him firstly for his birthday last year. I had absolutely no idea he would like this scent, as it is quite floral actually! He utterly adores it, and thankfully I do too! Such a wonderfully unique scent for a gent (or lady!).
